Surrey Memorial Hospital Foundation welcomes donations of new goods and services for use as prizes during fundraising events; to support hospital programs; or to provide comfort for patients.
Before making your donation, please call our office at 604-585-5666 x2877 between 8:30am and 5pm to schedule a drop-off appointment. We regret that we cannot pick up donations.
Items donated for use in the hospital must meet specific infection control criteria:
- Toys or books must be new and in original packaging.
- Handmade items (such as blankets, caps and booties) must be clean and unused. Knitted items must have small stitching.
- Electronic items must be in good working order and less than two years from original purchase date.
- Regretfully, used medical equipment cannot be accepted.
Donated items that are new are tax-deductible based on the fair market value as allowed by Canada Customs and Revenue Agency guidelines. Feel free to call the Foundation Office at (604) 588-3371 to answer questions or for further information.
