Independent Special Events, or third-party fundraisers, are a very important component of the fundraising activities of Surrey Memorial Hospital Foundation. In addition to the funds raised, these events create important awareness about the hospital and the Foundation.

By planning a special event, your company and its staff can feel a sense of community pride in working together to support your local hospital. Current events include a wide range of activities such as golf tournaments, car washes, community festivals and corporate celebrations. You can direct your event proceeds to any area in the hospital to assist with the purchase of urgently needed medical equipment.

• Pre-Event Activities
  The Foundation can assist with your planning such as special event checklist, budget development, public relations and volunteer co-ordination. We can also provide information to help you decide where you would like to direct your event proceeds to a specific unit in the hospital, to fund capital equipment purchases or provide patient comfort items.
  
   
• Event Day
  The Foundation can enhance your event day with a variety of support materials including balloons, banners, face-painting and colouring sheets. Our table-top display provides attendees with information on how your event proceeds will make a difference to the health of Fraser Valley residents.
  
   
• Post-Event Activities
  Surrey Memorial Hospital Foundation believes in recognizing outstanding efforts. Our staff would be pleased to develop a customized recognition plan suited to your activity and gift level.
